Elon Musk is currently working on the development of his latest company X.AIlaunched on March 9 in Nevada, in order to embark on the race for artificial intelligence (AI) currently led by OpenAI, a company of which the billionaire is also at the origin.
Indeed, OpenAI – which develops the now essential ChatGPT, was co-founded by Elon Musk and Sam Altman in 2015, originally purely non-profit. According to the Financial Times, Elon Musk is reportedly in talks with various SpaceX and Tesla investors so that they take shares in X.AI. Information revealed by a person wishing to remain anonymous, who adds that ” a number of people are investing in this project, it’s a reality and they are very enthusiastic about it “.

To carry out this new project, Elon Musk recently purchased about 10,000 very powerful graphics cards (GPUs) from the manufacturer Nvidia. Now essential in the AI industry, modern GPUs are well suited to the system of deep learning and allow a very large number of calculations to be carried out.
It will be interesting to follow how Elon Musk’s AI will be developed, among others at the head of SpaceX, The Boring Company, Tesla or Neuralink. Indeed, the billionaire had yet recently signed a petition to suspend the development of artificial intelligence for some time.
